Al Avery received his real estate salesperson license in 1987 and then after taking additional real estate courses, Avery received his real estate broker’s license in 1991.
Al is very active with the Grand Island Board of REALTORS® and the Nebraska REALTORS® Association. For the Grand Island Board of REALTORS®, he has served on numerous committees and in leadership positions, currently serving as President. Al was also selected as a recipient of the REALTOR® of Distinction award in 1994 and 2011. He has also received the Mark of Excellence award for the past several years from the Nebraska Realtors® Association. Avery has also served on many committees and leadership positions at the state level, including President of Nebraska REALTORS® Association in 2000.Al was honored in receiving Realtor ® of the year for 2016 from the Nebraska Realtors Association.
Avery has taught pre-license real estate courses at Central Community College, Grand Island campus. He has served on the City of Grand Island’s Board of Adjustment since 2003. Al Avery recently completed a 6-year term on the Nebraska Real Estate Commission after being appointed by former Gov. Dave Heineman. Amber has held a Real Estate license since 2006. Most recently, she was with Woods Bros Realty acting as a Buyer and Seller Agent. She is a member of Grand Island Board of Realtors and have also served on the board for three years serving as Secretary, President Elect/Treasurer, and President for 2016. Some of the highlights of achievement on the Board have been the implementation of the new Core Standards required by the National Organization to maintain compliance, spear heading an annual Blood Drive at the Grand Island Home Show, and planning a 5K Race in July 2016 to benefit the Homes for Heroes Organization to help local heroes in need. Amber is the Chair of the Safety Committee, serve on the Public Relations Committee, and Governmental Affairs/RPAC Committee. At the State Level, she serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee and the PEP Committee. Amber has also been awarded the Circle of Excellence from the Nebraska Realtor Association for 5 consecutive years. In 2019, Governor Pete Ricketts appointed Amber to serve on the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission. Amber is a Member of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, Grand Island Saddle Club, Riverside Golf Club and Central Nebraska Home Builders Association. She is a Hall County Leadership Tomorrow Graduate of Class 26.
Kendell is a lifelong resident of Grand Island, who is entering his first year as a real estate agent. Kendell graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 2017 and also participated in the Construction pathway at the Career Pathways Institute. He has an Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology from Central Community College in Hastings, graduating in December of 2018.
